Pastor Joshua Okpanachi Adah the 8th child of the eleven children hailed from Ofugo, Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State. He was born on the 9th January, 1975 to the family of Late Elder and Mrs. J. L. Adah.
Pst. Joshua O. Adah attended Ekan primary school, Makurdi, and Mt. St. Gabriel Secondary School, Makurdi both in Benue state where he obtained primary school leaving certificate and West African Senior School Certificate (WASSC) respectively.
He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he obtained a first degree in Performing Art/Drama. Within the period, he was the National Speaker of the National Association Nigeria Students (NANS). He obtained a Diploma in Computer appreciation while serving as youth corps member in Jalingo, Taraba state in 2002. Pst, Joshua Adah believed in continual learning and was mighty in personal development and upgrade. He attended various theological schools and institutes so he could give his utmost to his Master the Lord Jesus Christ. Amongst institutions he attended were Rehoboth Bible Institute, Jalingo; Christian Leadership Training School (CLTS), Bodija Ibadan; Nigeria Graduate School of Intercultural Studies (M. A. in Cross-Cultural Missions). He underwent the School of Discipleship with the Redeemed Christian Church of God and served as the National Usher at RCCG Strong Tower Parish, Akoka, Lagos state. He also enrolled for a Pastoral and Chaplaincy Education with the International Institute of Pastoral Education and Chaplaincy (IIPEC). Immediately after his service year, he responded to God’s calling to be a full time missionary. During his service year, he was exposed to rural rugged evangelism through the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF), where he served as the Drama Director. It was during his service year that he met his wife Pst. Mrs.Ngozi J. Adah (Ngozi OKorie) and they got married on the 26th March, 2005. God has blessed the union with two children and one adopted daughter; Shallom-Grace, Success Nasara and Esther respectively. As the International/Mission Director of God’s Own Evangelistic Discipleship Ministry (GOEDM), the focus has been the unreached people of Kona, Mumuye, Fulani, Wurukum and Igala tribes. In 2007, the school arm of GOEDM (Trinity Christian Academy – TRICA) was inaugurated. It provides quality education to the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) with full boarding facility at no cost. Presently, there are two hundred and fifty pupil/students in Nursery One to SSS Three from villages within and outside Taraba state. His pastoral education and chaplaincy eventually led to the inauguration of Cadet Corps in Trinity Christian Academy.Shortly before his passing, he enroled for his second Masters Degree Program in Intercultural Studies with the West Africa Theological Seminary, lagos Nigeria. Pst. Joshua Okpanachi Adah pursued his calling to resolutely reach out to the nations of the world with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ until his murder on the 23rd January, 2015 exactly a fortnight after his fortieth birthday.
