It has been 20 years of God’s faithfulness and commitment to His word in GOEDM. We have every reason to affirm that when God calls and sends, He not only backs up, He also goes with whomever He sends. This is our story, a story that began with a yes to God’s call by our father and mentor Pst. Joshua Okpanachi Adah, of blessed memory. It has been a story of victory and triumph, as God takes us from one level glory to another. As we look back to the journey of a decade, we are full of assurance and confidence that greater things lie ahead in the next decades. Our endless praise and thanksgiving go to God for this milestone, because we owe all to Him.
God has said to us that 2026 is our Year of Fruitfulness, and that has been our testimonies in the first quarter of the year. To Him alone be all the glory and worship.
The annual retreat was a period of spiritual renewal and refreshing for all of us in GOEDM. This year’s edition was so impactful, as we waited on God in fasting and prayer. It was a period of digging deep into God’s word to us for the year, and equipping for what the Lord has purposed to do through us. It was indeed a time of refreshing in His presence. The retreat ended with a service of thanksgiving to God, in memory of our beloved father and mentor, Pst. Joshua Okpanachi Adah who passed on to glory 11years ago.
The Lord did wonders in this year’s edition of the sport outreach from 7th February to 21st March, 2026. During the opening seminar of the outreach, about 200 Kona and Mumuye youths from 8 villages were in attendance. Well over 50 of these youths commit their lives to Jesus Christ. We are grateful to God for blessing us with the strategic partnership with Peace House, Taraba state chapter, as we collaborate for the discipleship of these Kona youths. We thank the Lord for the provision for this capital-intensive outreach. May the Lord bless the source greatly. The Kuru of Kona was represented at the final match of the tournament. Great things the Lord is doing in the Land of Kona.
Over 200 married people, old and young were present in the Men/Women Conference that held on the 14th of February, 2026. The focus of this year’s conference was to bring Kona families to the understanding of God’s plan for oneness and unity in marriage. All the families present from different villages and across different denominations dedicated their families to Jesus Christ. Also, this year God helped us to give gift items to all the participants. We have been receiving testimonies of family transformation from participants since the end of the conference. We give God all the glory.
God is still doing His great work in the lives of the pupils and students of Trinity Christian Academy, the school arm of the ministry. The school continues to offer sound formal education with full boarding facility to the rural and vulnerable children without cost. More of our students are gaining admission into tertiary institutions across the country, while some are already graduates and undergoing the NYSC scheme. Ultimately, more disciples of Jesus are emerging from this effort. We continue to trust the Lord for His help and provision for the sustenance of this vision.
Presently, there has been influx of members of the villages into our churches in the villages. More people from the various villages are identifying with our churches, and we have since been engaging them with message of salvation. Our messages are strategically tailored towards fruitfulness, according to God’s promises to us, to bring about the reality of God’s word in the lives of the members. The Lord has been faithful to confirm His words. We are always filled with joy week after week, as we see our members testify to the truthfulness of God’s word.
We want to specially appreciate all our friends and families that have been partnering with us in this great assignment. We are sincerely grateful to God for your love for Him, that has resulted in this strategic partnership. Thank you for being the Aron and Hur, lifting up the hand of Moses. It is our earnest prayer that you will not lose your reward, and may you not be tired. The field is still white and ripe for harvest. Lets keep working while it is day, for the night comes when no man shall work. May the Lord find us at our duty post when He returns.
God bless you.
